I'm Astrid Ryke and have been living with Staffords my whole life -
27 years to be exact.

My father, Dennis, bought his first Stafford in 1979, called Bobbie. Since then we have always had Staffords - at first, only bitches, but our first male, Rocky, was a tiger brindle. He lived to the grand old age of 15 years and 2 weeks.My father showed Staffords and bred a couple of litters, and now I have been bitten by the bug. I have been showing this wonderful breed since 2002. I cannot imagine daily life without Staffords in our home. They complete me. Our Staffords are, first and foremost, our pets (rather like children) and important members of the family. All our Staffords live together, and sleep on the beds. We do not believe in crating Staffords. I work from home, so I'm available almost 24/7 for our dogs. They get plenty of love and attention, which I consider very important for any dog.

I aim to breed only to improve the breed - never for the supply market. I aim for quality, not quantity, and I use the Breed Standard as my blueprint to aim towards outstanding type, conformation and temperament.
